Ford factory SAAC (Shelby) team which ran in '67 in the US. Imported and
raced by Norman Barry / Frank Bryan and sold to Dawson late '67, to replace his earlier

The Jim Richards 69 Sidchrome car. Built and
raced in NZ, then moved to Australia where it beat all-comers in the
75/76 season. Featured a very trick 530 bhp 351C. This car is till in

The triple 222 car. Same car as # 11
below, the Fahey 66 Trans Am car, but here raced by John Armstrong
in the 71 OSCA Series. John Riley bought the car in 1970 which he
painted green, numbered 222. He raced the car with with great success

Pete Geoghegan/Rod Coppin's 65 K Code Notch,
fitted out with Shelby running gear, including a 289 Cobra race engine. Originally imported into Australia in
65 by Pete Geoghegan and raced there with phenomenal success for two
years before being sold to Rod Coppins in 67. Also purchased by John
Riley and raced for one season.
Rod raced it here till
1970. Now restored and in the David Bowden collection in Queensland.

The Cooper coupe. Built into a race car by Rick Cooper of
Taupo and fitted with some powerful engines. Raced successfully then
sold to Mark Ross who further developed it and also raced it successfully.
Currently owned by Richard Gatwick of Dannevirke.

Trans Am race car.
Imported by Dexter Dunlop, subsequently
sold to and raced successfully by Kevin Haig and others. Eventually
rebuilt by

The Fahey 66 Mustang was probably the most
successful Mustang raced here (at least comparable to PDL 1). This 66
Shelby Trans Am car was imported in '67 and raced by Paul Faheyand later
by John Riley. It
cleaned up most saloon car trophies for 2 or 3 years, although Red Dawson
managed to beat it a few times. This car is now also owned by David

fastback. Initially raced by Dale but then purchased and subsequently

"The Scud" A 65 fastback bought by
John McKechnie 1990 who began turning it into a race car. Subsequently
sold to John Espagne, then sold damaged to Dale Mather's who extensively
developed the car. On sold 1999 to Dean Cameron who has further
developed it and still owns it. |

Mathers/Cooper/Hoffman 65 fastback.
Imported by Dale Mathers in 96, and rebuilt into a street legal Shelby
350R. Purchased by Rick Cooper, and fitted with a 500 hp engine. Used
for track and for the 1998 Targa. Purchased by Phil Hoffman and then by Darryl Narain
for 2002 Targa. |

genuine K code fastback imported around 1991. Turned into a race car
with a 302 by Rob Brown, then sold to John Espagne who further developed
